Currently, Attorney Bashi takes immigration cases in all US States, and handles traffic violations and minor traffic misdemeanors within the State of North Carolina.
Cynthia Martinez – Lead Paralegal
Cynthia Martinez was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the middle child of three. She immigrated to the United States with her family when she was two. Her parents instilled upon her a love for knowledge, all types of knowledge. In 2011, Ms. Martinez got involved with the NC Dream Team and through her activism committed acts of civil disobedience in Charlotte, NC and then again in 2012 at the NC General Assembly.
Ms. Martinez discovered her passion for law after working in her first legal position. Her fervor only grew, after joining another firm in 2014, where she spent a lot of time learning about the Federal Justice system. Ms. Martinez found that she excelled in learning how the system worked, primarily in the Eastern District of North Carolina; and was mentored by an exceptionally intelligent attorney, who also instilled in her a thirst for knowledge and a conviction in always finding a way to help clients. After many trials and tribulations, as well as a mass amount of learning and experiences, Ms. Martinez left that office in 2019 with a wealth of knowledge under her belt. Shortly after, Ms. Martinez began employment with a nonprofit organization that has a rapid response system for people detained at Jackson Parish, LA. It was here, that Ms. Martinez heard the terrifying stories of many individuals, and how they were fleeing from: violence, death threats, sexual exploitations, and many other horrors at the hands of other people in their home countries. Under the guidance of an attorney, Ms. Martinez was able to successfully assist a Nicaraguan national seeking political asylum in this country, win his case, and be allowed refuge in this country. It was one of Ms. Martinez's most proud moments. Ms. Martinez currently works as a paralegal at Bashi Law, PLLC.
Nataly Benavides – Administrator
Nataly Benavides is currently the Administrator here at Bashi Law, PLLC. She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico December 1992. She comes from hard-working immigrant parents who decided to leave their lives behind, in April of 1996, for a better future.
She is the oldest of three children, which for her, growing up meant that she had to look after her siblings when their parents were out of the house, working so that they could provide for them. At twelve years of age, she learned that she had a responsibility. While her parents provided food and shelter, she had to nurture her siblings and provide care and developmental support. This was important for her as later in life, Child Development and education became a passion of hers, and oh! would she thrive!
She worked in a couple of schools until she became unable to work with children in July 2020, due to a physical injury. Though she thought that her life would be lacking due to not being able to work with children, that soon changed when she heard about a position at Bashi Law, PLLC. She thought, “How am I going to be able to help anyone here?”. Luckily, she took the job and couldn’t be happier with her decision. She has seen how helping others is a big part of what we do here at Bashi Law and she herself has flourished in learning new areas of law. Nataly, being the Administrator at Bashi Law, thrives at maintaining organizational structure at the office. She manages our day-to-day functions such as scheduling appointments with clients and keeping track of scheduled hearing dates. Nataly also communicates with clients regarding their cases, and payment planning and processing. She never would have imagined herself working at a law firm, where we are able to make an impact on people’s lives, and hopes to continue doing so and growing here at Bashi Law, PLLC.
